Disclosure first: Assets Export Manager is ours. Facts are from the public Marketplace listings as of September 2026, prices at the 100-user tier. The native starting point is Atlassian's own export objects feature, which exports one object type at a time to CSV; the request for a whole-schema export, JSDCLOUD-9967, has hundreds of votes.
Export versus backup
- Backup and restore. Twinit's products copy schemas, objects, and attachments so you can restore or migrate them, including into another site. That is the job if you need to recover from a bad bulk edit or move a CMDB between instances.
- A portable copy of the whole schema. Every object type and attribute in one CSV or JSON, for an auditor, a migration baseline, or offline analysis. Assets Export Manager does exactly that and nothing else: it pages the schema in your tenant and streams the file to your browser. It cannot restore, and it does not export attachment binaries.

How to choose
- You might need to put objects back. Backup and restore, full stop.
- You need the register out, whole, on demand. A whole-schema export. Ours is bounded per run and marks a truncated export honestly rather than silently cutting it.
- Assets pricing is per Jira user, not per agent. Every app in this category is billed on the Jira user tier of the whole instance, which is Atlassian's model rather than any vendor's. Run your real user count through the calculators.
